The Gilded Wild is a collaborative textile and interior design project that bridges minimalism and maximalism through a sophisticated combination of animal prints and florals. Kylie worked along with Madina Tahirli, Sam Walden, and Nori Namkoong on this project. Working as a team with guidance from industry mentors, they developed a cohesive room collection featuring custom wallpaper, a bench upholstered in an original design, a chrysanthemum pillow, and an eclectic lamp.

As the group leader, Kylie managed project timelines, coordinated communication with the industry mentors, and led market and trend research to guide the group's design direction. Her primary piece was the lamp, where she developed the textile design and explored how the pattern could translate into a functional interior piece. Digital printing was a key technique throughout the collection, with designs developed using Photoshop, NEDGraphics, and Procreate.

 

This project strengthened Kylie's understanding of collaborative design and taught her the importance of clear communication, organization, and time management when bringing a multi-piece collection together.
